Spare prop
Does anyone have a spare propeller? 16 x 11 RH with a 1" bore, or something close to that with a 1" bore they could sell cheap or let me borrow for a few weeks? I have to pull my prop to have it checked. I have a vibration that I can't seem to find. The shaft is new, cutlass is new, and the engine alignment is near perfect, but I still have the vibration. I also can't reach full rpms of 3600. I only get 3400 and a little black soot in the water. The prop shop said they would check it for good balence. If that was good, they could set the pitch to 10 degrees. That should bring the rpms up, and get rid of the soot and possibly the vibration. I just want to have another prop to put on while this takes place. My plan is to change the props at a nearby beach, low tide of course, that would make things a little easier, and also having the spare prop to get back to my mooring. I'm out of Keyport NJ if anyone is nearby.
Thanks,
Don
