propane sniffer

Please, I don't want to start a debate over the wisdom of propane systems on boats.

If you have a propane system or any propane appliances on your boat, do you have a propane sniffer (detector/alarm)? If so, would you be so kind as to share what brand and where you purchased it. Thank you very much!

Tree, I think they all work well enough. Any well-stocked chandlery carries at least one brand. Every catalog house does. Pick one you like.

Propane has such a distinctive odor, I cannot imagine my nose failing me.

If you're asleep, I doubt that your nose will wake you up...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Innotek Portable Gas Detector

$30. you can use it after reconnecting the tank and in the galley after the stove's been off for a bit. Best protection is turning of the tank valves after each use.
