I am putting together an old sunfish given to me by a friend. This sailboat is a starter for my kids to get into sailing. If anyone in the Houston/Galveston has an old mast just laying around my son could put it to good use.
Thanks,

IIRC, the mast for a sunfish is basically just a piece of aluminum pipe... not too fancy...and only has a single block and cleat on it. Might be fairly easy to make a replacement mast.... I don't know the specific dimensions, but those should be fairly easy to find.
Has anyone successfully tried this? I'm presently considering picking up a project hull for free and trying to rig everything up for a hundred bucks...
