Convertion into slides

I have a Jeanneau Selection 37 with a Francespar rigg, with the main converted into slides/cars.
My problem is that the old luff groove has an entering hole about 30-40cm off the boom, and when I lower the main after a day of sailing, all the slides do either pop out of the groove, or get stacked to high up the mast when the entering hole is blocked. Obviosly this is just a problem when in "marina mode", but it''s an annoying problem that is easily fixed if there is a little gadget that fills this entering hole and at the same time lets the slides pass by. So the big question is this; does such a thing actualy exists?
