add this to tip of the day

After reading the tip of the day,I remembered the chevy vega aluminum block it had a cast iron head and steel bolts.this is a similar situtation as the steel bolts have to go in aluminum. the bolts would seize under the tourqe.there was a product called anti-seize compound that prevented the bolts from tearing up the dissimilar metal I wonder if useing this product on the threads of the SS screw/bolt along with the gasket would prevent the chemical reaction.

Lanocote or anhydrous lanolin will perform the same function and prevent galvanic corrosion.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Anhydrous lanolin is available at most pharmacies. Lanocote is available from most marine chandleries. BTW, Lanocote and Anhydrous Lanolin will also prevent galling in stainless steel fasteners used in stainless steel fittings.
