Alpha 3000 Autopilot

I have an Alpha 3000 autopilot on my Fisher 34 and the 12VDC drive motor has just seized. My drive unit is an older SGU-164 and the drive motor is a Pittman 13103B860 which I'm told by Alpha Marine and Pittman is obsolete and no longer available.

Has anybody by chance got one of these motors available or have found a replacement motor that works? Alpha Marine is suggesting a complete new drive unit as my only option which is an expensive fix.

Thanks,
Jack

Alpha Marine Autopilots Suck

If you have an alpha marine autopilot on your boat.. replace it with something else NOW! Their customer service SUCKS!!! Chris.. the owner/engineer is a pompous a$$hole!

Well.. you can keep the autopilot until it breaks.. which.. it will.. eventually. then you will know what i am talking about..

Chris takes it personal when his autopilot breaks.. he will blame you. PLUS he will never admit fault.. NEVER!
