fluid

I have a Perkins Prima 50 on my 97 Beneteau 400. I need to add transmission fluid but the label telling me what type to use is gone. Can any tell me I should add?

Cool What type of Transmission

The transmission and the engine are two seperate items. It's kind of like asking what kind of oil do I put in my vehicle?. You dont say if it is a truck or a motorcycle. Get the idea?

What color is the fluid in your transmission? If it's red its Dexron III. If its not then it is a straight weight oil. I can't tell you what weight it would be. Find out what kind of transmission it is and call the mfg.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
