If anyone has any good sources of used deck tackle (blocks, furlers, mainsail, winch handles, etc), for a Hunter 33 including dorades, sheets, halyards, instruments, etc please advise. I am trying to outfit a used H-33 (1985) and was wondering if any salvage places carrying Katrina inventory might be known to anyone?

I'd also recommend looking at Garhauer marine, which makes blocks and a lot of other sailboat gear that is very reasonably priced and now standard on several boat lines, including Catalina.
I'd be a bit leery of buying some of the things, like electronics, instruments, and such, if they were hurricane salvage, as they may be less than reliable.

Given that many of the boats were submerged, and lost that way...the internal workings of many mechanical items, if they were not properly cleaned and re-lubricated could also be pretty well trashed. Winches, can survive water exposure fairly well, but do not do very well with complete immersion, especially in debris and grit laden storm waters.

A little digging can often find great values. Just be careful and inspect everything.
There's a used store in Norfolk, VA that sells lots of used stuff including winches, I see you are in Alaska. It's called Salty Dog Discount Marine. Are you looking for stuff only salvaged from Katrina and if so why?
Salvaged goods usually go to what one might call "the boys". Insurers don't want to waste their time with one-sie two-sie retail sales and they usually won't even discuss retail sales of entire wrecks, they don't want to deal with the problems of a retail trade. So they usually deal with "the boys", the businesses that are in the marine second-hand business. Places like Sailorman in Fort Lauderdale, maybe a half dozen other names around the country and smaller local ones. I know there's a smaller one on City Island (NY) if no one has bought him out for condo space yet...a couple out by Seattle...
But all the salvage goes out that way, you're not likely to find it directly except for whole boats on the "bent boat" type auction sale sites. (And those guys, of course, have just bought them whole from the insurers.)
