Hello the Penticton Yacht Club is looking to purchase about 400 sling position labels for the 2016 sailing season. Anyone know where we can buy these?
Thank you
Bruce
...not an answer to your question but a 1 inch red arrow vinyl decal on white background pointing down will work just the same, would be more discreet and cheaper. Just my 2 cents unrequested opinion.
I have done these labels in the past for some boat owners, we print, over laminate and cut them out.
We would make them 100 per sheet and cost would be $61.00 per sheet.
Thank you.

There are a lot of specialty printers who do labels, but if I might suggest to get the best bang for your buck:
1-Ask about price versus quantity. You may find you can buy a ten year supply for the price of two years, because set-up and clean-up costs and overhead are roughly the same, and a large part of the job. Also, unless the printer is used to making outdoor stickers--the materials cost them the same for "a carton" regardless of how much they use.
For outdoor stickers on boats, you might want to get some samples to see how "permanent" the adhesives are. And if they are not laminated (some are actually printed on the back of the clear adhesive material instead) many normal printing inks bleach out horribly in the sun. Good stickers will last for years, less expensive ones that LOOK just the same when new, go brittle in a year or two. Don't be afraid to ask the printer if he's doing the job in-house, and what materials you can have.
400 labels? How many boats do you have???? For that many it might make more sense to make a stencil and paint the labels. It would last longer than plastic or paper that may get peeled off by idle hands or UV rays, probably look better, and might even be a lot cheaper. You could speed up the application if you used spray paint. Make the stencil a bit oversize to mask any drift of the spray from the places you don't want it. Stencil with a sharpie might also work well.
