Recommend Repower Engine to work with Volvo 110S saildrive? Help!

I have a 1980 Volvo MD11C that is basically done for. It looks like the heads are shot due to general wear and the cost to replace is $1500 per head, so $3000 for both. Once you add the $1500 in other rebuild parts, the $4500 plus machining makes it look like I should get a new engine.

Any recommendations on a drop in replacement for this engine and drive combo. The saildrive is still good and the Volvo MD11C has only the two front engine mounts and the back is just mounted to the drive.

Is there a drop in replacement available?

What is the best choice for me?

Beta - Bukh - Universal - Yanmar - Volvo - etc.

Thanks.

Sole Diesel - 110S drive

In 2004 I replaced my old MD 11 C Volvo penta with a Sole Diesel 25 HP (a Mitsubishi, marinised by Sole Diesel ).

The new engine works with my old 110S drive as Sole Diesel produces and supplies a special adaptor.
I have a problem now , but I believe it is not related with the Sole - Volvo marriage: the couppler on the engine's side has broken, so there is no transmission.

I think that the damage happened because of the old rubber joint (between the engine's and S drive's coupplers) ageing and destruction.

So I am looking into a good pair of coupplers too.
