I am going to remove the 40-year old holding tank, JABSCO toilet and all associated plumbing. Has anyone done this on an Ericson 27...and if so, do you have photos? And do you have a suggested methodology on how to proceed. This is my first boat...so be gentle.
1. Pump your holding tank out, pour in a gallon of bleach and 5 gallons of water.
2. Go sailing and let it sit over night. This will slosh the bleach/water around and kill all the nasty stuff in there.
3. Pump out tank again.
4. Close thruhulls.
5. Get out your Sawzall and cut the hell out of everthing you can reach
You can skip steps 1-3, but I dont reccomend it.
