Russel Yachts, Morehead City NC

I'm headed to NC to have my sailboat refit. New Rigging, top&bottom paint, leak reapairs, thru hull, upgraded electronics....etc. The list goes on. Right now I'm trying to get as much information about one boatyard in particular. Has anyone here ever had work done at Russell Yachts in Morehead City. Could someone here with experience recommend this company. I had initially heard that they were going condo's but after a very pleasant telephone conversation with the owner,it appears that the condo rumor is not true. Any discussion on the yard would be greatly appreciated. Taylor M.

Hi Taylor,
Russ Russell owns the yard, called Shepard's Point Boatworks, to whom you've spoken. I can highly recommend Russ and his crew as dependable, knowledgable, and as straight up as they come. It is not a big yard, but right downtown on the waterfront of Morehead, close to amenities. Being smaller than most yards, they perform more efficiently than most. I think you'll find them to be to your liking.
Regards, and safe passages!
