LPG "RV" Refigeration use on a boat

Does any one use LPG RV type refrigerators on their boat. My understanding is that as long as the refigerator is allowed to swing with the heel of the boat that it will run effeciently. There ia the danger of explosion as the pilot light is always on. Fumes detectors would help in the case of a leak in the system. Any Ideas

The Gemini Catamaran folks have used these for years without problems that I know of. But I do think catamarans are better candidates for propane fridges than monohulls.
