The article on sail care was right on target, however, you should know that Challenge Sailcloth distributes a product to sail makers which cleans both Dacron and Laminated sails, especially mildewed sails. (It also works on any kind of cloth, foul weather gear,
life preservers, etc.) No chlorine bleach or harsh agents. Also, it relies on soaking only. No scrubbing is necessary or suggested as it damaging to the cloth. This product is called CS-530. You can find more about it on
www.sailcleaner.com. Anyone with dirty or mildewed sails should check with their sail cleaner to make sure they use this product, not chlorine bleach.
