Rudder Bearing Replacement

A recent survey performed on my 1983 Irwin 34 found a problem with my lower rudder bearing (worn split bearing). The yard suggests in order to repair it, a sleeve will have to be machined for it at a pretty substantial cost. Anyone know where a replacement bearing could be located for that year and make of boat and the fact that the bearing is a split version? One company, Jefa, doesn''t make that particular kind. seems to me that Edson has replacement rudder bearings and I seem to remember that their cataloge lists sleeves as well. Very helpful people at Edson. Good luck
