Cleaning Rub Rail
Our boat has a rubber rub rail around all sides and its in good shape but is really yellowed and stained in spots. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean it up to a nice new bright white color? thanks.

I've used acetone in the past. You have to be quick with it because it softens the plastic. Wear good gloves that the acetone does not attack. I think they're called nitrile gloves. I've also used Mr. Clean Magic erasers. They work surprisingly well.

I'd go with the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers...they're probably far less damaging to the boat and seem to do a pretty good job on a lot of different surfaces.
