Diesel heater for water heating

I'm looking at a Dickinson Newport diesel heater for my boat and I see that it has a water heater option. Has anyone used one of these? What were your experiences and what kind of water tank would you hook this up to?

We have the Dickenson Antartic stove with the optional water heating coil connected to an 18 gallon water tank. It takes the stove burning all night to have hot water in the morning. If you're a weekend sailor who motors a lot, having the hot water heater plumbed into the engine for heat will be quicker.
