Plastic paint for tired looking plastic parts

The "paint for plastics" that is now seen in aerosol cans at your favorite hardware store or home center is a nice cheap (Any other cheap yacht people out there?) way to refurbish exterior plastic parts that are UV degraded or just looking threadbare.

I used it to refinish some really old (1982) and awful looking Nicro vents by cleaning them, wet sanding the rough spots and spraying on a couple of coats of white. I also masked and sprayed the insides with red. New looking vents for about $10 material cost. Does a Scot's heart good.
