Hydralign Feathering Prop

Greetings! Does anyone have experience with the Hydralign (Australian) feathering prop - especially the 3 blade "Aperture" model? I hope to replace the original fixed 2-blade prop on my 1965 full-keel sloop. The old girl is fine powering ahead, but astern thrust is almost non existant. I don't think that the Max Prop or Kiwi Prop or Autostream will fit without re-designing the rudder/aperture. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!

I don't have any experience with these, but I'm in a similar situation. A have a very constrained aperature on my 1966 Alberg 35 and have been using a two-blade prop because of it. I'm planning on replacing the prop this winter/spring to get more thrust.

What sort of prices are they quoting you?

Bellatrix...looks like a perfect "fit" for your application. The only thing I would be concerned about is the use of stainless under the water for extended periods of time. He's been in business for 17 years so I guess they've got that issue taken care of but i would be interested in what they tell you about it in terms of both electrolysis and Crevice corrosion in an anaerobic environment.
