Bimini deck hinge
I have an aluminum toe rail that the four bimini deck hinges are mounted to. When stowed, the bimini currently lays on the deck. I want to stow it upright, out of the way to clear the stern. I am considering putting in a support pole about half way up the existing pole down to a new deck hinge aft of the others. Anyway, my main question is: How do I mount the deck hinge to the toe rail? The existing ones are mounted using screws. Do I drill out holes in the toe rail and then drive the screws into the deck?
