awlgrip

I purchased a 37 C&C in Greenport NY, will be taking from there to Lake Champlain in May 2007. Would like to get boat awlgripped on the way, any suggestions? I checked at Selburne in Lake Champlain, they want $225 foot plus another $1000 for hauling, mast and launch. Found a reasonable place on Hudson River but he is booked, he charges $150 a foot. any suggestions, willing to go north on lake champlain into canada. thanks ann

labatt will become famous soon enough
I don't know if they'll do it at that time of year, but you may want to check with Scarano's at the Port of Albany - www.scaranoboat.com - they do amazing work.

You may have trouble getting into the paint shed anywhere at this late date. We used Old Lyme Marina, in Old Lyme CT for ours. It's just up the Connecticut River, so it's pretty much on your way towards New York City. http://www.oldlymemarina.com/ They did an excellent job. Tell Mark that Eclipse says hello from Southport. We also checked out Essex Boat Works (in Essex) and Brewer's in Westbrook. They are bigger, and so it might be easier to work out a schedule with them.
