I hope Santa remembers me this year....

There is a product out there that guaranties to "Eliminate up to 95% of boat roll and keep everyone smiling!" for at least the "2 Year Factory Certified Warranty." period.
Just think, no more rolling in open anchorages and my, wouldn't it be fun to watch at all the cats bobbing briskly when the swell gets, um unswell, from your 95% stable monohull?
Well folks, here it is! At last, no more rolling!
For a mere $70,960 (plus installation I assume) you too can have one of these little babies on your 50 to 59 foot yacht! Slightly less for smaller boats.
I hope Santa remembers me this year....I'm gonna be a REALLY REALLY good boy!

Looks well built. But I think Santa will be looking for something more than "good" to come through with this though.

Re: I hope Santa remembers me this year....

I find it interesting that these guys were apparently able to get Patent protection for their devices considering that Gyroscopic roll stabilizers have been around since early in the last century. For example, the gyroscopic stabilizers below, built by Sperry Rand, were installed in the USS Henderson in 1917.

A similar system was used on the Italian ocean liner SS Conte di Savoia in the 1930's.

Th one advantage of the system is that it is not dependent upon the ship's motion through the water as are fin stabilizers hence it can be useful while at anchor though at great cost.

We have an alternate system that was inexpensive and works very well. A "Flopper Stopper" suspended from the end of a reaching pole off the yacht's beam.

Shouldn't you just plant yourself under a tree out in the country somewhere if you don't like the motion of the ocean?
