Jeff & others...your opinions please?

I have changed hank-on head sails on boats your size in some pretty nasty stuff; Never had a problem. Once I had to be hoisted up the mast of a 38'' boat, by two drunken women, with a squall approaching, to cut the halyard of a hopelessly jammed furler. Had I been alone the consequences would have been grim. The failure was due to a mis-aligned lead at the masthead causing a wrap. Stowing large headsails is no fun and with good quality gear and proper installation furlers sure are nice, but what if.........

Ahoy, mojizm, nice name lets here more about the drunken women. Big Red 56 the pirate thinks you might have potential to be as scurvy a knave as he is. I agree with you on roller furling. Great on a good day but bad in a blow. Then again what do I know I snap bowsprits overloading my front stay anyway. I mean if something breaks you must be having a good day. Arrh,

Man, I''m getting scared again . . . bugeyed pirates and such.... had dinner with Eric and went through KIMBERLITE the other night on the dock at AYH in Red Hook. Talk about a restoration project. I thought the boat was a Pacific Seacraft the dozens of times I walked by it without noticing. It is a COMPLETELY retroed, spiffed up, rigged-fo-bear Tartan 37. Beautiful. Thanks for the yellowfin and wasabi dinner, Eric. I have a sneaking feeling you can check this board, based on what I saw on the boat for electronics, from your anchorage at Peter Island in the BVI......KW
