Transmission Needed For Univ 25xpb

I hope this isn't inappropriate for this forum, but I am in dire need of a replacement transmission for a universal 25 xpb engine I'm rebuilding.

Original equipment was a Hurth HBW50, which was invaded by seawater and may not be rebuildable. New ones retail are about $1,000-$1,500...way beyond my sailor's meager budget!

I understand that ZF bought Hurth and that the HBW became the AF5, now superceeded by the ZF6.
