Prop Maintenance

I have a folding prop (Gori) on my boat and I was wondering if I need to do anything (ie: adjustment...lubrication...etc) to get it ready for the season..??

No maintenance other than cleaning with a scotchbrite pad or wire brush (not stainless!) is required. Inspect pin stops for wear and contact factory as needed if wear is severe. Gears are water lubricated so no grease is needed. Don't forget to put a shaft zinc on before you splash!

I give the allen keys a check and lob a little lithium in there for luck...but a Scotchbrite and some elbow grease and a spot of Brasso make it shipshape.

I have a Gori on the old boat. Nice, aren't they?
