Poly-Propolene, Canvas, or Fiberglass

What kind of deck replacement for canvas would be practicle for a 1966 wooden scow?
Poly-Propolene Cloth, Painted Canvas, Canvas painted with Epoxy, or Fiberglass. I jump around alot on the deck and every now and then something will fall down as I am putting the mast up. What would be the practicle way to go?

E or A scow?
Nothing beats a proper canvas covered and painted deck for non-skid ability . Will be the lightest but will require maintenance. If this scow is worth anything (cedar construction) I''d return it to spec. with a canvas deck. On the other hand, if the hull is hogged (deformed) and the useful life is nearly over, you might want to consider a simple FRG glass cloth deck, painted with 2 Part Polyurethane and add coarse non-skid granules (awlgrip granules) between coats.
Go to the Inland Lake Sailing Assoc. (Scow) website for further info, and post your message there for other ''opinions'' from scow sailors. www.ilya.org
Hope this helps.
