Post Paint?

The interior of my boat is dingy after a good cleaning,so I have repainted the wood areas that support the bunks and forepeak, is there any reason not to paint the top (underside of deck) to improve the look?
It looks as if it was painted before.

Absolutely, you can paint it.
Preperation will be the key to success. One thing to bear in mind is that the fiberglas will be much more affected by ambient conditions than the wood you painted. The inside of the cabin top, or overhead, will be more influenced by temperature and humidity given it's material and location. Thorough prep and low humidity will yield the best results. You'll notice that dew can form on the overhead, and even though it dries as the day progresses, that moisture is still in the air inside your boat. I advise venting the boat well with a large fan for some time, on a low humidity day, for best results.

This is probably not the best advice, but I'm gonna tell you anyway. I repainted the interior of my current boat and my previous boat with a high-hiding, stain resistant primer, similar to KillZ, but made by Kelly Moore. (qts. or gallons). It's a bright white and seriously covers everything in one coat. When I first used it, I had planned to prime and then paint, but after applying the primer, it looked so good I just left it at that. I'm sure some will say this is a bad idea, as primers generally are fairly porous and can allow moisture to penetrate, but I'm telling ya, it's been two seasons and on my current boat and it still looks great; no stains have re-appeared, there's no bubbling, no flaking, and it cleans up easy with a damp cloth.

Why not just use killz - it's available at home depot right?
