US 30 / Buccaneer 3000 info

Hi,
Anyone know where I can get info on my US 30 (Bayliner are less than helpful). For example I need new hatch seals, but have no idea where to go for them - . . . .

I'd say you're on your own, as you know, builder support is going to be nonexistent.

If you're referring to the gasketing on the foredeck hatch, etc, try to find out who made them in the first place (Lewmar, Bomar..) you may have more luck with them. Unfortunately it's possible that US did not use quality providers of such hardware.

The pricey but better way would probably be to replace the entire hatch assembly if you can't find replacement parts.

There is a site dedicated to US yachts, run by a couple from Florida who own a US 30. Try DIY Sailor, US Yachts owners group
There weren't a whole lot of US 30s made, no one seems to know how many, and Bayliner doesn't want to be bothered going through their archives. They seem well laid out with little of the Buccaneer heritage, but they seem to suffer from the same hurriedly built problem that Bayliner is noted for. IIRC they were a Doug Petersen design and those that I know of are loved by there owners.
