Dirty Water Tank

Can anyone share some advice as to how i can clean my water tank on my 28ft sloop it has bits of dirt coming out when i pump, I have no access to the tank its been biult in under the floor. Thanks

Shock treat the tank... then rinse with lots of clean water... then shock treat and rinse a second time. Then rinse with vinegar and water to get rid of the nasty bleachy after taste. I just posted a note on Shock Treating water tanks yesterday or the day before, so do a search of my previous posts for it.

Sodium sulfite (available at places that sell wine making kits) can also be used to neutralize the bleach or if you find the chlorine smell / taste persists after rinsing with vinegar.

I own a winery where bleach and sulfites are used daily. I have never heard of that, or found it to be true.
