interior wood finish
I made the mistake of putting a waterproofing sealer on my storage hatch covers (inside the cabin). Two months later they still have a strong smell - and they are out in my garage. No way can I put them in the boat. I believe sanding the water proofing off would be difficult since it should have penetrated the wood pretty deeply with the several coats I applied. This leaves me with 2 questions: 1) Is there a recommended sealer that can be put on that will seal in the odor? 2) Are there special stains and/or finishes that should be used on the other interior wood I am about to replace?
Thanks.
