putting boat on jacks

I would like to put my 19 foot Starwind on (yet-to-be-made) home-made jacks in my yard so I can accomplish boat and trailer maintenance. The boat is around 1800 pounds and has a swing-keel. Does anyone know where I can find a discussion of the process to accomplish this? Thanks

The only safe use of jacks is to stabilize the vessel, not support it. The keel needs to support the weight. If you need to work on the swing keel build a cradle.
You should also consider the relative hardness of the ground. Don''t trust the jacks on any surface other than concrete, asphalt,or very stable soil.
