cruise n carry

I picked up a little cruise n carry 6600 at a yard sale, yesterday. Looks rough but runs. Does anyone know anything about these little outboards? Looks like it might be 1 or 2 HP and only 10 or 12 lbs. I thought of using it on a small tender.

I have two of them (one for parts). They're great little engines. Air-cooled, 1.5 HP, 12 lbs. The engines were originally designed for leaf-blowers, I believe. Plenty of power for my 8' Inflatable. It's a bit loud at full RPM, but the light weight makes it much easier to load/unload from the dinghy.

The guy told me it had been laying around for three or four years, I talked him down from $30 to $20. Took it home put in some gas, it started on the first pull.

It's more than "a bit loud at full RPM", it is very loud at any RPM. Everyone in the anchorage will be following your progress, especially when you are trying to find your boat at 1AM after a few drinks.
