Peel Away & Stubborn Boat Name
 

OK, the painted old boat name is refusing to yield to Easy Off. Is the peel-away sold at Home Depot the next step? Is that the version of peel-away that won''t harm the gelcoat? Is that my next step?

I recently used the Home Depot product to remove some misapplied varnish on an older C&C38. I t states on the can that it won''t harm Gel Coat and it didn''t. Good Luck

easy off oven cleaner worked great on my boat, then a little compound and wax.

Peel-away worked but it took a bit of elbow grease and a 3M paint removing pad. I was worried about it harming the gelcoat but its OK ...just that ugly yellow shadow where the letters were...which compound should remove. A marina guy told me I should put vinegar on it after to neutralize, then a full rinse. Its back to the boat for that.
