Here are some pictures of the installation of our transducer in our sailboat. I used the PVC clean out method with mineral oil as we discused in another thread. here are the pictures.

Looks great! What made you decide on that mounting method?? I have seen it used, but never done it myself. I have always bonded the transducer directly to the inside of the hull.

With this method if the transducer ever fails and I need to send it in for repair or replace it, its just a matter of unscrewing the cap, unbolting the transducer. vs. having to break the epoxy free and risking more damage to the transducer or the hull of the boat.

I learned long ago to "bond" w/polysulfite (sp) instead of epoxy. Easy to pop it back off if needed and cleans off easily. I have been able to re-install the same unit into different boats.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
