Moving Traveller Forward ( Mirage 26 )

In order to better install a Dodger, I''m considering moving the traveller forward of the companion way on top of the cabin deck.

Do you think through deck fittings with a backing plate would be secure enough to attach the traveller to the cabin deck ?
