Adding Air Cond. to Catalina 42

I'm looking at adding air conditioning / heat to a Catalina 42. My quotes are for a two system solution. The quotes range from $8,000 to $13,500. Can anyone tell me what they have paid?

If it's not against the forum rules, can anyone say something good or bad about Ocean Options, Inc in Annapolis?

Steve,

I purchased and installed two top-of-the-line air conditioner/heating units for my 42' sloop three years ago. They have been wonderful through two summers and three winters. Total BTU was 28,500...more than enough.

The price quoted seems high. I have dealt with Ocean Options in the past (on an Espar install).

Give a buzz sometime; be happy to share thoughts with you. I'm in Arlington, VA.

Direct email is bill at wdsg dot com
