Clark Thistle Contacts

I bought one 19' oal last year and bashed the bottom 18" of the center board.
Any other owners out there?
Any advice on repair/replace?
Composition appears to be lead shot in (epoxy/poly?) with fiberglass/gel coat.
Is it worth the effort to fabricate a more durable (sheet steel/built-up) replacement?
