yotphix - you were right, I asked about the hull above and below waterline.

USCGRET1990 - unfortunately, I didn't get such a luxury for the hull to be out of the water for 2 days. By the way, are you close to Oriental or New Bern?

Any thoughts on the sounds??

I regards to the clarity of the water, use charts and be sure of where the water is.
Camaraderie probably could help you out as he's over that way somwheres.
