groundhog is on a distinguished road
pump out nozzle..

I have read that there are two types of pump-out nozzles out there.

One is like a rubber stopper and uses pressure to make a seal.

The other is a threaded on type.

When I install my deck waste port, do I need any special one to mate with the threads on the threaded type nozzle?

Thanks,
gh

Sailormann will become famous soon enough
The nozzle has to fit the threads on your fitting yes, but a lot of marinas have adapters to fit the most common deck fittings. If you know where you're going to keep the boat, it may be worth asking them if they know what fitting(s) will work with their hose....

As long as you're using a standard deck fill fitting, they'll probably have an adapter that fits it.... there are only two or three thread/opening sizes used on deck fills.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
