My PO of the boat left the compass uncovered and the lenses is really fogged by the sun. Is there anything I can do besides full replacement?

What kind of compass? If it's a good one, I'd consider a rebuild by a qualified compass repair service, like Island Compass in Florida. They did a great job on my 20-year old Danforth Constellation; looks and acts like new.

If it's a cheap one, consider upgrading or replacement.

I have a 6 inch constellation, what did the rebuild run ?

It can be buffed back clear. I have used Starbrights fiberglass restorer in the past. Just something with a very mild abrasive.

It may not be the lens—it may be the fluid as CapnHand has pointed out.
