Lombardini Marine Engines

Has anyone repowered with the Lombardini engines ? They are used in a lot of sailboats in Europe. Good pricing.

I recently noticed these as well. Yes they have good pricing but if the lack of responses are any indicator, it might be tough to find part for a repair. I found a used 18 horse for about 1/4 the price of a Yanmar, freshwater cooled too.

Smile Lombardini engines

we replaced our old 40 hp perkins 4108 with a 38hp lombardini (i think its 38 it might be a 36) and it has worked very well. The gearbox gave a bit of trouble and had to be replaced under warrenty.

The fuel returns from the injectors need to be replaced after about 3 yrs, one failed.

Otherwise a good engine
