Using Assymetric Spinnaker from old boat

Hi

Last season I purchased an Assymetric Spinnaker for my Beneteau 281, and used it several times. In a fit of insanity I purchased a new First 36.7 in September and traded in the 281. I kept the Spinnaker and was wondering if it could be used for a while on the 36.7 so I can get my feet wet (figuratively) while I learn the new ship.

Thanks

The first 36.7 looks like a really nice boat. I think you should enjoy it. You may luck out and be able to use the chute for messing around, since the 281 had a mast hear rig and the 36.7 is a fractional rig, but more likely than not the 281 assym will be too small to fly properly. I would contact Beneteau and find out what is the ''J'' (hoist) measurement on the 36.7. The 281 has a ''J'' of 33''4.
