Old Apelco Radar

Hello,
I have an old Apelco radar that came with my new old boat. When I turn it on, it goes to standby and then does a sweep that leaves the screen completely green in the path of the sweep. Any ideas? Thanks!

I just downloaded the manual but have not had an opportunity to do a deep dive on its contents.

Gain... maybe. I'll try adjusting this evening.

Thanks!

Not the gain. I turned it all the way down and tried all settings in between.

What was the cure for "the green sweep?"

I just sold a vessel with the same radar and the same problem. I promised the buyer I would find the cure, so my word is at stake here.

Thanks in advance for your input!!!

Nate
