Nomenclature - deck to spreader banner thingy?

Ok, I have another noob question. On racing boats (for big races like the VOR, 5 Oceans, etc), when in port the boats will often fly a long crescent or trapezoidal-shaped banner thing with the boat or team name vertically on it. It looks like it's hanked on to a shroud. Unlike a flag or burgee, one end is attached at the deck and the other end is at the spreader or most/all the way up the shroud. It's very narrow, like a ribbon, and it looks like the aspect ration is 10:1 or 15:1. I can't for the life of me find a picture to show what I mean, so I'm hoping my description makes sense.

Is there a proper name for these banners?

Cheers!
