Aere Fenders

I have two Aere fenders but just started using them. They work fine thus far, but not tested with strong winds.

Does anyone else have any experience with these inflatable fenders?

Thanks,

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I've been considering installing something like this along the dock instead of using fenders. I take my boat out out 3 or 4 times a week and I really get tired of dealing with the fenders. But I'm not sure it would be enough protection?

That is fine for the occasional bump when docking, but not enough when you're dealing with rough weather, strong winds and higher waves.

US...get a few old fenders and tie them like in the photo along the pontoon.

No need to put many, only in key points. Then just leave one or two fenders, just in case.

At the bow I have two of these...I moor many many times with 20 or higher winds, so it gives us a little more protection. They have a flat surface underneath to fit the pontoon. Its bolted on the wood.

Here is a drwing of them.

Some are filled with foam for heavy duty, some with air. I have the air ones.

Go here, and in the search bar type "bumper"
