Bimini Covers

I''m considering purchasing a Bimini for my 26 ft.sailboat. One option offered is to have a mainsail viewing window installed. This option seems like it would be useful, but how well do they hold up,(a lot of plastic looses it''s clarity in a short time) and would you recommend having one installed. I know this is a small item, but the price of a Bimini is not.If I''m going to spend the money, I would like to do it right the first time. Some helpful experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Bimini Covers

Hi, I have a window in my bimini, and it''s covered by a flap of sunbrella that folds back when I''m using it. That helps extend the life of the plastic. When you do have to replace it,it,s very simple

Thanks for the response Marc. I hadn''t thought about having a sunbrella flap over the window for when it''s not in use. I will be sure to go that route.

I have the platic windows and they work fine. You definatly want to have one to see your main. There are several plastic cleaners and waxes that help protect them. A cover is nice too although I don''t have one.
