What size line to use

I need to buy new line for cunningham and out haul. What size line should I use? can I use 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch or is that too small? Also what size should I use for my reefing lines? Thanks!

What size boat ??

I think you will have to tell us what size boat you have, 1/4" is pretty small for anything bigger than about a 20 footer. That small will be hard on the hands.

It is a catalina 27 '79.The reefing lines are not there and the outhaul line is no the appropriate line and its too short.

Thanks for clarifying CP. My boat is an 82, and all my associated manuals and notes are at least that "young" :)

i know the feeling

mines a '76, I have socks older than that.

best source of info is catalinadirect.com
cajuntrading.ca, catalina27.org, and a couple of yahoo groups.

I found a complete manual on the web, what a pita to read. Oh well, such is life, eh?
