Question Experiences w/Magnum Energy MS-Series inverter/chargers?

I'm looking for a new inverter/charger and was wonder what kind of reputation Magnum Energy has? After reading some negative reviews of Xantrex's MS series at West Marine's online store (probably not a reliable source, I'm sure...), I'm wondering if Magnum is any better. I understand it was started by some engineers who left Trace when they were bought by Xantrex.
