Well, the LifeSling2 has done really well in all the MOB recovery tests that I've seen. I would go with it... I have one hanging off the stern rail of my boat btw.

I have to agree with SD- I'm guessing there is a reason they almost always use the lifesling for published MOB drills.

Part of the reason is that it is an excellent piece of gear, and I think part of the reason is that West Marine is usually one of the sponsors, and helped commercially develop the LifeSling IIRC...
