Angry Yanmar Engine Parts

How do I get engine parts that I need for my Yanmar Diesel when my area dealer says that what I need wont be enough to meet the minumum order they need to place with their distributor?

My Yanmar mechanic keeps parts on hand. The one time I needed something he ordered it for me and it was minimal. I don't recall off hand what it was, but the most I've spent with him at any one shot is about $70.

You could try this place:
http://www.marinedieseldirect.com/yanmar/shopping/

Or see if you can find a parts source here:
http://www.yanmarhelp.com/

I've never ordered parts from either. I have learned a bit about my engine from the second.

I use www.torresen.com. The prices are reasonable, the shipping is fast, and they have good tech support.

That's the kind of poor customer service that encourages people to shop on the internet.

You would think an area dealer would be able to accommodate any size order, and that some outfit who doesn't nomally do Yanmar business would have a minimum order limit.....that is bad business.
